Limbo
The state between what has ended and what has not yet begun.
The Spiritual Perspective
Limbo is the threshold place — the corridor between what has ended and what has not yet been born.
On the surface, being in limbo feels like waiting. A person is neither here nor there. The old certainty has dissolved, yet the new direction has not revealed itself. The mind keeps reaching for a conclusion, a label, a decision, a sign. It wants a floor beneath the feet. But limbo offers fog instead of ground.
At the deeper layer, limbo is not emptiness. It is suspension. The soul has withdrawn its energy from the old form, but has not yet poured itself fully into the next. The identity that once knew what to do has been interrupted.
This is why limbo can feel uncomfortable. The mind calls it confusion, but the soul may call it gestation. The seed under the soil is also in limbo — no longer only a seed, not yet a flower. Something is happening, but not yet visibly. In Hermetic language, it is the alchemical vessel sealed in darkness. In Tibetan wisdom, it resembles the bardo — the interval where one world has ended and another begins to shimmer. In archetypal psychology, it is the descent before the new self-image can rise.
Limbo becomes suffering when the mind demands immediate certainty. But limbo becomes initiation when we let the unknown refine us. Then the in-between is no longer a prison. It becomes the womb of the next version of the self.

A Moment of Reflection
Limbo is not being lost; it is being remade before the new path has language.
Breathe into the threshold. What is not yet clear may still be sacredly forming.
Limbo is not being lost. It is being remade before the new path has language.
The question limbo asks is not "when will this end?" It asks: What has truly ended? What am I afraid to release? What truth am I not yet ready to embody?
Patience here is not passive. It is the willingness to remain in the dark while something forms.
